Robert A. Hillman and Ibrahim Barakat examine Warranties and Disclaimers in the Digital Age. They find that many software vendors expressly warrant the quality of their software on a website, but then disclaim the warranty in the End User License Agreement that most users ignore. They suggest ways that lawmakers may address this issue.
