The National Center for Educations Statistics publishes annual data on faculty in educational institutions. The latest information is contained in Employees in Postsecondary Institutions, Fall 2007, and Salaries of Full-Time Instructional Faculty 2007-08. If you are thinking of going on for that post-graduate degree and entering college teaching you might want to review current salaries. This document only includes aggregate data. Salaries can vary widely by discipline and department. Be sure to get additional information on your field of study.
